You are not driving up here every week

This is the question we get most from Austin owners, and it is a fair one. Training that needs a weekly round trip up US-183 is training that quietly stops happening by week three.

So the programs Austin clients use most are the ones that do not depend on a weekly commute. With board & train, your dog comes to us once and stays for the length of the program. You get weekly progress reports with photos and video while the work is underway, and follow-up sessions once your dog is home so the training transfers to you rather than staying with us.

If you would rather do the handling yourself, private lessons are the other common path, and we will be straight with you about whether the drive makes sense for your situation before you commit to anything.

Who you are working with

Cynthia Garlaska has been training dogs in Central Texas since 2007 and is a professional member of the International Association of Canine Professionals. Austin owners have made up a large share of that work: city dogs, apartment dogs, dogs that do fine at home and fall apart on a busy sidewalk.

You will know exactly who is working with your dog, and you will hear from us every week while your dog is with us.
